Pilates, Mind, Body & Breath

A form of body, mind, spirit/breath exercise that brings strength through awareness of alignment, posture, proprioception and attention to movement. Based on the philosophy and work of Joseph Pilates.

Pilates can be thought of as the exercise that prepares you for of your life. By preventing and decreasing the impacts of injury, pilates works with the small deep postural muscles that support your joints, bones and creates long lean muscle. With a strong base/foundation and proper alignment you can function with ease in your body and your life.

With a strong emphasis on breath, your lung capacity is increased, mind put at ease, and the parasymphatic nervous system activated. My goal is to have you leave a pilates class taller, stronger, energized, and with diminished pain and discomfort.
